Kottu Database Reportedly Fried

LankaWatch.com celebrated yet another milestone when BlogForSriLanka.com a.k.a http://kottu.org/ became the first external site to use the live RSS feed provided by LankaWatch.com. The celebrations were, however, short lived. The administrator of the BlogForSriLanka.com has apparently fried his database and posted the following notice. No further information was available.

Boy Helps Curb Disease Outbreaks

Thanks to the efforts of the CNO and the boy who diligently worked there, the spread of disease has been prevented (Click here to read the BBC report). Experts, at the time of the Tsunami, believed the outbreaks will actually kill more people than the Tsunami it self. But apart from a few isolated cases of communicable diseases, no major epidemics were reported from Sri Lanka. Yey! They got something right!

Froggle Gets Donated

March 19 (ENN) Kalutara - Froggle, the cute and cuddly cross between a toad and a frog has been donated to a bunch of Tsunami victims in the southern city of Kalutara. The little green ball of huggleness was apparently given to one of the kids by accident by one of the members of the "fellowship". The incident has taken place a few days back while the fellowship was on a tour of Kalutara.

Citizens Committee of LoudCloud has lodged a strong protest demanding an explanation for the "accidental donation".

The girl, who is a founding girl of the LoudCloud, and her visiting sister have been present at the time in their capacity as directors of the "fellowship".

The girl was unavailable for comments.

Post-tsunami a Bad Period for LoudCloud

March 18 (ENN) Camp 146 - Post-tsunami period hasn’t been good for the LoudCloud. Most of the boy’s and girl’s attention has shifted to another blog and most of the foreign aid pledged for the reconstruction efforts has stalled.

LoudCloud was badly affected by the Tsunami of Dec 2005. Much damage was caused to the infrastructure and the lives of all the LoudCloudites. The actual death toll and the number of people/animals missing have not even been determined. Finalizing the tolls has been particularly difficult given that some people of LoudCloud were missing long before the Tsunami thanks to the girl who kept moving from place to place to storage.

On the brighter side (somewhat), a lost tribe of LoudCloud was recently discovered at Camp 146. They were reported to be in good condition but have complained of constant racial discrimination by the local people. Kendra, a famous LoudCloudite who hit the big screens alongside Blake was among the displaced now reportedly living at Camp 146. She has apparently told the press that she was assaulted a number of times by the local folks and she longed meet Blake in the promised land.

Sadly for LoudCloud and its citizens, the girl has not been seen around LoudCloud for a while and this is especially troubling given the issue of the next "LoudCloud" the hard cover is due to be published in a couple months.

Boy Contemplates Alternative Power Mechanism

The boy’s batteries have been running out pretty frequently. He has considered either replacing them with newer, high-tech batteries that can be super charged in less time or making changes to the current electrical system and attaching the power supply itself to the boy’s power socket. Thanks to new technology the power supplies now come in a pocket-size cute little packages. But unfortunately they are not sold here and need to be imported. The coolest brand of power supplies comes from Sri Lanka. Boy needs to get one soon.
