And the Oscar goes to ...

Only recently able to jump the box, Jellow carried away the Oscar for the best little person in an animated flick. An emotional Jellow thanked the creators of Magu people and the store in Nolita which btw recently sold off its entire stock in massive discount sprees as it closed for good. (Apperently, there were fellow Jellows for sale for a couple of dollars.)

Band clad in ripped Jeans and tshirts sing Lata Mangeshkar

In their Sean John outfits and shinning bling blings one would think they were a rap group. But what they sang was classical Indian compositions originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar. According to the ‘guru’, the CD with the band’s original compositions is to be released in 4 months. Stay tuned for updates.

Children's children

Everyone loves their children. And most love their grandchildren. Some even love their great grandchildren. Would you love your great great great grandchildren. The chances are, genetically, you are as related to a stranger you see on the street as much as you are to your great great great grandchild. Would you love the stranger? Or, if you met your great great great grandchild, would you treat him/her like a stranger?

Hurricane Jane

This is me reporting from the eye of the hurricane. I can see everything at a distant tumble and crash while everything near me move in slow motion. Definitely feels surreal but safe. Calm. Silent. I can see the rain gushing and the winds gusting at a distance but I am dry and unscathed standing still in the depression feeling neither cold nor warm. But within minutes, perhaps, the hurricane will move on and I will lose my temporary haven and with it the calmness and the silence. I will be caught up in the winds blowing at so many nautical miles taking with it everything in its path including my small self. I will be violently shaken and thrown around. May be, slapped across a wall or dropped like a raindrop as it crashes unto the ground and break into tiny splashes. But for now I am safe. Comfortable.
